    The DoubleTree is a newly renovated hotel in the heart of downtown Cedar Rapids. It’s just under a mile from Symposium headquarters so you won’t be far from the action of the event. Be sure to book your reservations early, on or before Monday, April 10th; as this hotel hosts a significant number of business travel and events and there is limited space available.

    To make a reservation, contact Prikida at the DoubleTree. Call 319.731.4512 between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. CT or book online and use the group name: Geonetric Symposium and the group code: GSM. We have reserved rooms from Monday, May 1st through Wednesday, May 3, 2017. Standard Double and King rooms are $127/night, plus tax. Mention that you’re attending the Geonetric Symposium event to receive this special rate. Rooms must be guaranteed with a major credit card and first night deposit. The room block and special rates are only guaranteed until Monday, April 10th.

    Official check in time is 3:00 p.m. Check out time is noon.

    For those of you driving to Cedar Rapids, parking is $12.00 a day in the parking ramps near the hotel or .75 cents an hour.

  • Transportation

    The DoubleTree provides transportation to and from the Eastern Iowa Airport. Once you have your flight information planned, call The DoubleTree (319.731.4444) and they will arrange a shuttle for you.

    If You’re Flying into Cedar Rapids:
    Call the DoubleTree with your flight information (319.731.4444) and they will arrange for a shuttle to pick you up.

    If You’re Flying into Moline or Des Moines:
    You’ll need to reserve a rental car and drive to the DoubleTree. From Moline, it’s roughly a 90-minute drive and from Des Moines, it’s roughly a 120-minute drive.
